Salt shaker - Cylinder

The salt holders from SiroccoLiving are beautiful candle holders carved out of blocks of salt.

The salt comes from one of the large salt lakes in the Siwa Oasis in the Sahara desert in Egypt and is collected by the locals who process the large blocks of salt.

The dark streaks in the salt are marks of sandstorms that occur in Siwa. The sand that enters the lake becomes part of the salt blocks, and this is how the dark lines appear.

The candlesticks have a fantastic natural texture that is highlighted even more when you light a candle inside. They are beautiful in their simplicity and are easily combined with other home interiors.

• Only tealights or LED lights should be used
• The salt dissolves immediately if it comes into contact with water. Therefore, do not place the lamps outside.
• A little sand can be put in the bottom to avoid possible liquid candle wax coming into contact with the base of the stake.
• Be aware that if tealights are used, the bottom of the stake can get very hot. We therefore recommend putting felt pads under the bottom.
