Salt shaker with brass spoon

The salt vessel from SiroccoLiving is a beautiful little vessel carved out of salt blocks with a small accompanying brass spoon.

The salt comes from one of the large salt lakes in the Siwa Oasis in the Sahara desert in Egypt and is collected by the locals who process the large blocks of salt.

The dark streaks in the salt are marks of sandstorms that occur in Siwa. The sand that enters the lake becomes part of the salt blocks, and this is how the dark lines appear.

The salt shaker has a great natural texture, use it for coarse salt or nuts.
