Bedspread

This beautiful bedspread is handwoven and produced in a small family business, located in a village outside of Cairo, the village is known for its weaving traditions. The pattern on the rug is hand-embroidered by local women from the Siwa oasis, located in the desert 560 km from Cairo.

It is a special type of embroidery called Crochet that is traditionally used to decorate women's headdresses. When you buy this product, you contribute to the independence of women in a very conservative society.
